PowderBrows – everything that you need to know

Maybe you are thinking about all the possibilities to solve the problem of weak and sparse eyebrows, or perhaps you just want to stop wasting time on daily eyebrow makeup. Phi PowderBrows may be the solution for you, and here’s what it’s all about:

What is the PowderBrows technique?

Powdered Brows are a semi-permanent eyebrow styling technique that creates a soft-shaded brow pencil look. It gives great definition and depth to the eyebrows. It is particularly recommended for women with oily or combination skin or anyone who regularly fills their brows with pencil or shadow.

This method is particularly specific because it is done by shading and gradation of the density of the dots that are drawn and you always get full, defined and popular eyebrows.

What does the PowderBrows treatment look like?

First, you need to know that the PowdeBrows method must be done by an expert who has completed an exceptional education. It is well known that PhiAcademy creates only experts through extensive courses where you get to know not only the technique but also about the skin, good care, and all the rules that enable a good job and perfect results.

The PowderBrows treatment is done in a few stages:

  • First, we need to discuss and collect all information about the skin state, the client’s wishes, and all necessary info before we start.
  • The treatment will begin with numbing cream. We apply the phi numbing cream on the eyebrow area.
  • The next step is to map the brows and sketch the ideal brow shape for the client’s face structure. We can use the unique Phi app that calculates the best shape based on facial proportions and the golden ratio.
  • The procedure is done with special Phi tools and pigments that are one of the best in the world and well known for their purity and lasting qualities.
  • After the PowderBrows treatment is done, we recommend and advise how to do aftercare and what products to use.

What is the Difference between the Phi PowderBrows & Microblading?

The most significant difference between the two semi-permanent eyebrow styling techniques is how the pigment is deposited into the skin. Microblading uses a handheld tool to carve minor cuts into the skin, whereas Powder brows are done using a machine. The powder technique is a bit less invasive than that of microblading.

While microblading no doubt gives a more natural look, the powder method gives that neat makeup look and is an excellent solution for those who have a bit of oiler skin!

What are the Main Benefits of Powder Brows?

We have listed some of the main benefits of this Phi method, but be sure that the list is pretty long! Here is what makes this technique stand out:

  • The Phi PowderBrows are great for any skin type.
  • Your eyebrow will look fuller, more defined, and eye-catching.
  • PowderBrows can last longer than some other methods, in some cases even up to 5 years.
  • The powder technique is a bit less invasive than others from the PMU spectrum.

Do PowderBrows Hurt?

As you probably know, pain levels vary from person to person. Your artist will use a safe topical anesthetic cream to ensure you remain comfortable & as pain-free as possible. But, it is good to mention that, based on clients’ experiences with Phi PowderBrows, the treatment is mostly painless!

PowderBrows aftercare – what is it like?

The aftercare is just as important as the procedure of PowderBrows. We could even say that the result depends on the expertise of the artist and the way that the client handles the aftercare! For proper aftercare, you need to follow your artist’s instructions and use only the best and recommended products. Also, it is not enough to use just any cream or product for aftercare. The variations of products depend on your skin type because good aftercare differs from oily or dry skin.

We have some basic guidelines for what you should avoid after the treatment as part of proper aftercare:

  • Don’t work out or sweat a lot.
  • Don’t touch and peel off the scabs.
  • Avoid any makeup around the brows for at least 12-14 days.
  • Stay out of heavy sun exposure.
  • Avoid any facial treatments during the healing process.
  • Avoid long and hot showers.
  • Don’t wash your brows extensively.
